[jornada] Newbie question! - Unable to mount rootfs

Hi,

This is my first attempt to get linux running on my
Jornada 720.Im booting the simigern 2.4.31-j720-4
kernel using linexec with the relevant initrd (from
compact flash).

The kernel panics with:

VFS: Cannot open root device "" or 00:00
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 00:00

I am storing the kernel and initrd etc on first
partition (fat16) of flash card and have laid out the
familiar rootfs on the second partition (ext2). The
params.txt for linexec contains the following:

\Storage Card\vmlinuz-2.4.31-j720-4
\Storage Card\initrd-2.4.31.gz

I cannot work out what I am doing wrong, it seems like
the initrd isnt getting found. Any ideas?
