That's very strange!
Did you try reseting it from the left reset button ?
Did you remove any compact flash/pcmcia cards from it ?
Try removing the batteries and connecting only to AC power.
With all batteries removed try to turn it on (I'm thinking it will
drain the power in any capacitors inside).
Try sweeping the keyboard gently with your palm a couple of times
(maybe a key got stuck)
