I used my 2.4 one and it booted, but had some trouble initialising
some hardware as I had no modules.
If you mount the initrd image (gunzip it first) via loopback and copy
in your 2.6 modules to the /lib/modules/ directory. Unmount the initrd
and gzip it again. To make space you might need to delete the 2.4
modules.
