The battery will always discharge as long as you are booted into Linux.
Without a flashboard the processor cant be stopped like with Windows
CE, With the latest kernels from Michael Gernoth (I hope I spelled
your name right) the system is underclocked and the PCMCIA slot and
screen are powered down which provide us with power savings over the
kernels found elsewhere.
