[jornada] out of memory on j720

hello,

some of you people are running gpe/opie 0.8.2 under 2.4 kernels on the
jornada 720. is anyone having problems with too little memory?

i've tried running gpe and opie under a 2.6 kernel. without swap i can
barely do anything in gpe, opie is a bit better, but still needs swap.

i'm wondering if this is a 2.6 kernel problem or 0.8.2 familiar problem. i
used to run gpe 0.7.2 under 2.4 kernels and it worked very well.
