[jornada] Jornada related projects for the google summer of code

I have been looking at the google summer of code program
(http://code.google.com/summerofcode.html) and see that handhelds.org
has been put forward as a mentoring institution. I am wondering if
anyone has any ideas for Jornada 7xx related projects which could be
submitted to the google summer of code program.

A few ideas i've had are:

Getting the modem working
Better suspend support for non-flashboard users
Getting 2.6 working without flashboards
Using a more standard interface to the battery so that GPE/OPIE battery
monitor apps can use that info and improving the accuracy of the battery
driver
