Hello,
I am new to this list, so sorry if this problem has already been
discussed...
I own a Jornada 56x and I wanted to try to run Linux on it... But as I
understood I had to install a bootloader on it, I did everything a bit
fast, and my Jornada seems now to be frozen...
I think I installed the wrong bootloader file on my Jornada, as I
followed links about the Jornada 720 at first. I remember installing a
Jornada 720 bootloader (don't remember which version though), and now
the machine just does not display anything.
I know that that bootloader was supposed to be used together with a
serial cable, and I don't own one of those, as I couldn't find one.
So I have two questions:
1. Do you think I just ruined my Jornada by installing a bootloader
which is not a 56x-specific one? What can I do about it?
2. If the bootloader in installed is compatible, I suppose I should
access it using the serial cable. Where can I find one of those? (I live
in France).
Thanks a lot for your help.
Calvin
