I think my previous fixes to the touchscreen-driver fixed the
incompatibility with newer gccs, too.
As for building the kernel, it just works with the new toolchain (and a
slightly modified CROSS_COMPILE-line in the top-level Makefile. Change
arm-v4l-linux- to arm-linux-. This is in my current patch)
Btw, don't bother with linux 2.4.27, I've just now got a working linux
2.4.30 running on my J720. Grab all pieces from:
http://wwwcip.informatik.uni-erlangen.de/~simigern/jornada-7xx/linux-2.4.30-vrs1-pxa1-j720/
(Toolchain is hh.org 3.3.2)
