I think the problem is the 0.8.2 image is made for kernel 2.6 so it
expects either udev or devfs to make the /boot directory, it also
doesnt expect to have a initrd which is why it lacks the /initrd mount
point.

If we could get a 2.6 kernel to boot from inside CE I'd imagine we
would not have nearly as many problems.
