This almost works.

I spent some time last night when I should have been sleeping working
on this and I'm close to having a working GPE image.

I made the following modification to the .tar.bz2 for gpe.

created a /initrd dir

put the modules from
http://radiolivre.org/darksnow/jornada/kernel/4/modules-2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh3-j720-3.tar.gz
in /lib/modules

populated /dev with the contents of dev from
http://radiolivre.org/darksnow/jornada/base3_0.tgz

copied modprobe and insmod from
http://radiolivre.org/darksnow/jornada/base3_0.tgz to
/sbin/modprobe.24 and /sbin/insmod.24

It boots, GPE starts, it asks me to calibrate the touch screen and I
cant, It doesnt seem to recognize any pen input.
