I don't think anyone has yet got the 2.6 kernel to boot without using a
flashboard yet. This is a hot topic for discussion right now, hopefully
somebody will get it working soon.

One trick for debugging this kind of stuff is to have the kernel send
its output over the serial line so you can record it in something like
minicom or hyperterminal.

I'm not sure if microdrives work in the jornada or not. I think i'm
right in saying that a microdrive is a type 2 CF card and so is the
jornada's slot, so given that it should. I'm not certain and only have
CF cards myself.
