Yes, but with the 2.4.18-rmk3-hh10 irda does not work.
But i'll put online precompiled 2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh36-sq5bpf1 from jacek and
2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh3-j720-2 from Kye Connect, that I think are the best thing
you can get for jornada 7xx w/out flashboard.

From jacek kernel readme (readme.linux-2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh36-sq5bpf1):
arch/arm/mach-sa1100/j720_control.c: added a module to control various
things in the Jornada 720 (right now brightness, contrast and read the
battery state). entries are in /proc/jornada
