I've seen this on other Linux systems using the pcnet_cs drivers,
usually seems to mean that the cable has been removed or has a fault. It
might be a CPU overhead thing too, not entirely sure of this though.
Although some systems seem to generate these messages quite often
despite no noticeable problems, while others do have problems.

You can improve the reliability of NFS by mounting it using the tcp
option (use -o tcp if mounting at the cmdline) or use samba instead.
