Hi,
the expansion sleeves for the Jornada 56x are not supported by linux. Only CF
cards work and to debug this it would be best to have a serial connection
while plugging in the CF card.
Battery info is wrong and cannot be fixed without further ASIC information.
I will put the ppp modules into the next snapshot or release of familiar .8.2
I know that the touchscreen is slightly sloppy, it needs to be tuned. For now,
remove the variance module from /etc/ts.conf and lower the dejitter value. TS
accuracy should then be somewhat better.
The backup battery has no function when running linux and it is normal that
the device will loose the current date when there is no power left. This
currently cannot be fixed.
Sound and IrDA cannot be made functional without further ASIC information,
there is a very basic sound driver at
http://handhelds.org/~chicken/uda1341-jornada56x.c , but the L3 interface
does not (so sound also does not work)
You can also set up a network connection using the USB port (this is the same
like on the ipaq's, check the handhelds.org wiki), but it will only work well
with a linux host, not windows and make sure to keep the data rate below 1
Mbit/s.
regards,
Alex
