Has anyone seen this error installing Linux on their 720? I'm using
hpcboot.exe and 2.4.17-rmk5-hh9 courtesy of this[1] page.

I copy vmlinux.gz to My Documents and run hpcboot.exe. When I boot, I
get Tux on screen and the following on my serial console:

(A couple of screens of a single unprintable character follow.
Hyperterminal displays it as an alpha. Notepad thinks it is
an 'a' with a diacritical mark above it.)
Nothing I do after this point makes the slightest impression on the
system, except resetting. I'm telling hpcboot "HP Jornada 720" and
Serial Console (115200).
Any suggestions on what could be happening or what to try next?
Sincerely,
Jonathan Pearce
