Do you use the familiar pcmcia tools? They have a version number of
3.1.20.
On a familiar v0.4 I can use the 3Com AirConnect card, but I use a
version 3.1.22 now. You also need
the file hermes.conf in /etc/pcmcia. I do have the pcmcia-3.1.22
compiled for the iPaq, perhaps you could try it to see if it gives the
same problem. (I am guessing here, that it might having to do with the
pcmcia being to old for the current kernel. But I'm not sure it will
help).
