I can ensure you, that you are completely sane. I see it too on my iPAQ
(which is an european 3630, so definitely older than your new ones). I
have familiar 0.4 installed with the kernel 2.4.3-rmk2-np1. Since I
have no WinCE iPAQ to compare, I thought that this is normal. I wonder
if it is also visible at daylight. Maybe it is some interferrence of
the 50/60 Hz of the electricity-net and the display update-rate.
