Hi and thank you all the developers who contribute to Linux on ipaq,
I've just ordered an 3870 (in Norway, 32mb ROM) and when I get it (in a
month or so), I want to do the following (I know its not currently
supported by familiar linux):
- install familiar Linux, Qt/embedded, QPE and a Java environment. I know
Java takes between 12-18mb, QPE 3-4mb, Qt/em. 3mb, but I haven't found out
how much Familiar Linux uses?
- use GPRS/WLAN, are any of the jackets for this purpose supported yet, or
in the way, for instance GISMO from www.abrandnewworld.com ? (I talked to
abrandnewworld and they had no plans for supporting linux themselves of
course)
- I work at a CS dept at a college, so I would like to propose some main
projects for the spring semester for developing apps for the ipaq
(probably qt or java based), anyone have any good ideas?
(hw/modules stuff will probably be to heavy for most of the students)
thank you in advance for your help,
/Erik
