Guys,
Last night I found a task-bootstrap of the 0.5 alpha that Dave Neuer
configured with the 2.4.7-rmk3-np1-hh9 kernel and modules. I was able
to get it working without much trouble, and I gotta say,
Good Job Guys! First off, I knew about the little bug in the pm_helper
pointing to bash, after that was fixed, the etc/modules and
etc/conf.modules are still pointing to the wrong audio driver name. But
after that was fixed, everything worked as normal, but unfortunatly the
new hh9 stowaway driver (which i heard was fixed) was not included. But
anyways, I noticed that the audio drivers still lock up after a reboot,
so i edited the pm_helper script to rmmod all three drivers when a
suspend is issued, and to insmod h3600-uda1341 upon a resume. This
fixed everything! Not only can I suspend and resume then play a mp3, I
can SUSPEND WHILE PLAYING A SONG, and when i resume it continues playing
without missing a beat!!!!! This means that we've FINALLY kicked M$ CE
at something KOOL!!!
So, my questions are...
Why hasn't this kernel been posted onto the unstable feed yet (isn't
this what the unstable is for?? )
Can someone who's compiled the hh9 kernel pass out the new stowaway
module and stowd program??
Thanks all, and again, Thanks!
Robert.
