[iPAQ] pre-0.5: "TSK! ramdisk_region is NULL!!!",...

I still don't get familiar running properly on my ipaq, neither v0.5 nor
v0.4 (after trying ~20 times following seriously the instructions). I get
strange errors and bootup messages for v0.5pre (which works at least a
little bit), like

"ramdisk_region is NULL" or
"ramfs/unix: no module found by this name",
"cannot access hardware clock....".

I can login, but neither wvlan, nor pcnet pcmciacards
work.

pcnet: "unresolveds symbols and MII is missing" and
wvlan: "timout waiting for Rx RDC"

I get the feeling, that my ipaq is damaged...

any suggestions appreciated,
