Hi All,
I've been trying to get my dual sleeve working. According to this
page: http://www.handhelds.org/z/wiki/Linux2.4.6 I went and tried the
familiar 0.5 prerelease.
The first step is flashing the bootldr_v2_15_6
I set up the params as
set linuxargs "noinitrd root=/dev/mtdblock/3 init=/linuxrc console=ttySA0"
set copy_ramdisk 0x0
set baudrate 115200
partition reset
partition define kernel 0x80000 0xc0000 0
partition define root 0x140000 0 24
(I can't remember for sure if I typed params save, but I think so.)
Then I loaded zImage-2.4.7-rmk3-np1-devfs-hh5
No problem,
Then the task-bootstrap.jffs2
Again everything seemed great.
When I boot I get this message:
JFFS2: Erase block at 0x00000000 is not formatted. It will be erased
JFFS2: Erase block at 0x00040000 is not formatted. It will be erased
JFFS2: Erase block at 0x00080000 is not formatted. It will be erased
Cowardly refusing to erase blocks on filesystem with no valid JFFS2
nodes
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 1f:03
Did I forget params save? Or is there something seriously wrong.
Should I go back to the stock 0.4 release and just wait for the full
release of 0.5?
BTW: I have a 16MB Rom ipaq and I don't know if the partition define
{kernel|root} values are meant for a 32MB Rom.
Thanks all,
Mark.
