[iPAQ] Problems while loading bootldr

Hi,

I had been trying to install linux on my Compaq iPAQ and had gotten to the
step of installing the bootldr-0000-2.14.8 file on the handheld, through
hyperterminal. However, this step gives the error message "Illegal Message
Format". Could anyone please give me suggestions on this?
