Thanks for all your help

I gave up compiling and checked, as JW suggested, whether or not i really
need 'asyncore.py' and it turns out, that things are even much easier
without it. AFAIK asyncore is used for flexible socket solutions with many
clients connecting at once. As my program is just querying a server from
time to time, the standard socket functions are well enough.
