Re: [iPAQ] Newbie Suggestion re: 'Keyboard Input'

Well, I was thinking something like an xterm/xscribble (or
xterm/some_virtual_keyboard_program) combination. In other words instead
of hi-lighting text, the window area of the xterm would function as that
xterm's personal xscribble window, get what I'm saying? Not only would
this avoid blowing screen real-estate on an xscribble window (I like mine
BIG so I don't make as many mistakes), but it would also make having to
focus on an xterm when you want to write on it a thing of the past. Of
course a translucent xscribble on top would also do the trick, but I think
it would be somewhat less elegant.

If nobody else does something like this I might find myself getting around
to it... but that's only if I have some free time (yeah, right) between
now and when my twiddler arrives... I predict a rather substantial drop in
my xscribble usage once I get some kind of chording keyboard thingy
plugged into it. Of course before I even bother ordering that I want the
infamous pcmcia sleeve to come... I was told that they would be in stock
TODAY... lets hope they are...
