[iPAQ] Mouse on serial port

Has anyone used a mouse direct with an iPaq? I know people have used them
remotely through a PC. What I mean is plugged directly into the serial
port.

Has anyone tore into a serial cable yet? Are all the connections available
(USB and serial) like in the cradle?
