[iPAQ] too much dark current

hi,

Something is not quite right in 0.16beta power-off land.

Twice now I have fully charged the ipaq, 'shutdown -h now', and removed
it from the charger.

Both times the unit has behaved as though it were still using power at
almost normal rates while shut down.

Last night I put it in its case after shutdown. This morning I noticed the
bottom of the case and the desk where it was sitting were warm.

The unit was fully discharged.

This was about seven hours after shutdown, so I infer from the lingering
warmth that the discharge took a little less than that amount of time.

I decided to test this theory.

I fully charged again, shutdown, removed from charger, and laid the unit
on the desk. After two hours the back of the ipaq was still slightly warm
so I unplugged charger from cradle, reset ipaq and immediately took a
voltage reading.

The voltage was significantly lower than when I shut down.

What is this dark current doing?
