same version (?) 0.59r of mpg123 on my PC plays it fine.

I will also try madplay, but it sounds perfect in mpg123 x86 as it is.

OK, I was just remembering some posts about certain audio sample rates and
perhaps stereo not working yet. That may be old news now.

I could indeed change the volume using the gqmpeg volume control.
