hi,

I've been playing with the 0.16 beta.

1) screensaver seems to be working after a fashion, but I still can't get it
to turn off the display. Still, a definite improvement.

2) 'shutdown -h now' (essentially 'halt') works great! turns off the device
and only a stab of the reset switch is needed to boot again.
   good work :-)

3) ppp modules are not loaded at startup - need to be loaded manually,
   unlike 0.15

4) I found the /usr/bin/X11/led program which allows me to play with the
green light. fun! (I'm easily amused)

5) /proc/apm returns something, not sure if it's right, but things are looking
good for battery monitors. (what does 255% mean? why does /proc/apm show
the same thing whether the battery is almost dead or fully charged while
   on charger).

6) xcalibrate is there (may have been in 0.15; not sure) but does not work
quite right. it's not started in the right place on the screen.
the best way I've found of recalibrating right now is to stop and restart
   the X server.

Having fun,

Dwayne
