well i have familiar 0.4 on ipaq
RH 7.0 + kernel 2.4.5 on notebook
RH 7.1 + usbnet.c on desktop
well on desktop thinks work many (but not all) times ...
when thing not run i receive some errors but never hang
on notebook only sometimes i'm able to setup and use the usb network
but never hang the system
when the usb network have problems usually ipaq bacame really really
slow (about unusable) but after a while i close the link (with ifconfig
down)
ipaq come back at normal speed ...
