From WinCE (Compaq ROM update #1.77):
I followed directions in

save my WinCE
I installed Familiar 0.4
Linux working great!
I needed to restore WinCE (don't ask :(
I followed the restore directions in
http://www.handhelds.org/projects/wincerestoration.html using the "old
method"

At this port I pressed the reset button, black screen. Then I turned off the
main power button for 30 minutes. Blank screen.
