In terms of ram and pure horsepower, I really don't think festival will
run well at all. I never even bothered with festival because I assumed it
would be too resource heavy, but I couldn't even get rsynth to function
happily. I don't know what the viability of emacspeak is, but getting a
speech synthesizer working is possible (I have a closed one kicking around
someplace that works). Anyhow, I'd be interested to hear of your
