I've got gxedit running on my iPaq. It's not hard at all as the
precompiled Debian binary worked out of the box. I've got it down to the
point that I can use it very well, until I try to save. The (#%$% save
dialog, and the others as well, are just to big. I can't get to the
buttons to save or cancel, and I can't put in a file name. If I've got
my facts straight, the dialogs are all drawn by the GTK libraries. Does
anyone know how to reduce the size of the dialogs? Just so everyone
knows, I'm not a programer (excp for a little PHP) and have no clue how
to get to this in the code.
Also, has anyone compiled viewml for X on the ipaq? I've looked for
binaries without any luck. I've also looked on the skiff cluster for it
and found that someone (nbright) has the code up but it looks like that
is as far as s/he got. I also tried to compile it on the skiff with no
luck. The header files are not right and I don't know enough about it to
fix it on my own.
So far I have flash6 mounted to /root (the home directory) and now I
have a lib dir under it so that I can put libraries there and test
programs out. I've been using rz to zmodem files down to the iPaq. BTW:
XFishtank works quite well... :)
