[iPAQ] Beginners question: LINUX, X

Hi,

I have received a COMPAQ iPAQ a couple of weeks ago
and am about to play around with the device.

I was thrilled as I have heard that I can run LINUX and Xwindows
on this device (unfortunately I have not much experience with either
of these besides simply using them). I am interested trying out
how they run on my PDA and I also want to start developping software
on this platform.

Up to now I have installed LINUX on my IPAQ following the instructions on
the handhelds.org webpage (BTW "bootldr-c002-2.9.5" and
"bootldr-c002-2.9.5.md5sum" have a wrong link from the instructions page and
son't download; "zImage-2.4.0-test6-rmk5-np2-hh3" downloads simply with the
name "zImage-2.4.0") . The display is turned off (is it supposed to be like
that?) but I can log in with a terminal emulator and log in as root.

Now how can I install Xwindows on my device.

Is there a similar cookbook and possibly binaries out there for Xwindows on
Ipaq.

What is the best way to get a jumpstart into LINUX and Xwindows for the Ipaq
and start developping SW (are there some additional information than what
can be found on the handhelds.org)?

Cheers
  Georg
