I have heard mention of a possible expansion sleeve that would contain the
SA-1111 companion chip to the SA-1100 CPU. This chip, among other things,
acts as a USB master.

Yes, it would be very useful. As I understand it, the iPAQ dosen't have the
necessary hardware to serve as a USB master. However, I don't see why it
wouldn't be possible to throw a PCMCIA USB adapter (Belkin makes one) into
a
PCMCIA jacket and go to town. Assuming proper driver support, of course.

Subject: [iPAQ] USB hub?
Does anyone know if it is possible to connect a USB device to the iPAQ
and
have the iPAQ control the device? I know that the cradle can be USB and
there is a USB connector cable available for the iPAQ, but in the usual
case, the desktop machine is the master. What I was wondering is can the
connection go the other way, so that the iPAQ is the master hub? It
would
be really useful to be able to plug a USB keyboard and other devices
into
an iPAQ.
