It's there in iPAQ kernels as well, if you configured it in, for kernel
mode only. However that's an extreme performance killer and it's there
only to allow weird net protocols to work with the same code as the
i386's. In all common cases (like TCP/IP) you shouldn't need it. It's
really really bad policy to rely on that for user space code.
