Has anyone on the list managed to get USB networking up and running with
familiar .4 bleeding and a 2.4.2 PC? Everything seems to look good on the
iPAQ side of things but when I try to ifconfig usb0 on the PC side I get a
usb0: unknown interface error and a look at /var/log/daemon.log shows that
modprobe Can't locate module usb0.
This would make me think that something didn't get mapped correctly when
the usbnet module is loaded. I compiled the usbnet.c file from CVS tonight
using gcc -O2 -I/usr/src/linux/include -DMODULE -D__KERNEL__ -c usbnet.c
Inserting the modules does not produce any errors that I can find but when
I try the ifconfig I get an error. I checked the comments in the code
which didn't give any useful hints and I didn't see anything in CVS's
Documentation/usb directory that looked like it covered usbnet. Any
pointers would be greatly appreciated.
