At least speaking for the RTC alarm I can say that the SA1100 RTC driver
works, that you can set an RTC alarm and that the RTC alarm is
configured as wakeup source.
So if you write a short test program (see
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/rtc.txt) the iPaq will resume exactly when
the alarm occurs.
I am currently working on a client-server alarm daemon which will enable
applcations to set an alarm and which will signal the corresponding
program upon an expired alarm. It will also manage more than one alarm
(in contrast to the RTC itself which can only have _one_ alarm set).
The daemon will come with a small library that will make it easy for
application developers to use the RTC alarm functionality.
I hope to get a first version (not much more than a draft, in source and
docs) out in about one or two weeks.
