i am also seeing crazy framebuffer behaviour under sa1100fb.c v1.37
(from a CVS up this morning). once i wake up, the backlight is
continuously blinking, and the screen image is very noisy and
streaky. i can't really tell if the screen itself is actually turning
off or if that is just because the blacklight is off.

anyway, backed out to version 1.33 and i don't get the blinking but i
still get crazy messages on the console,
