Hello.
We've been playing with linux on the ipaq for a few months here at work,
but when we got a few more in today I got a little over-excited and maybe
a little ahead of myself.. I went to install linux on the first one and
after loading the bootloader and setting the params, I DIDN'T reboot
before loading the kernel. The kernel seemed to flash ok, but when I was
flashing init, it just stopped about half way through. Upon reboot, the
bootloader spits out the inital information, but then starts printing
garbage. I also am not able to get to the boot> prompt, all my keystrokes
come out as garbage. Is it necessary to reboot between flashing the
bootloader and the kernel? Do I now have to return this ipaq for a new
one? Opinions from the list are appreciated..
Thanks
Abel
