I was using hyperterminal - minicom was my next try until
Jim G came up and offered to do the download. It's in the process
now using his serial cable. (mine is a compaq serial cable too)
I could never get minicom to work during my initial install
a few weeks ago.
hyperterminal showed no retries, or errors.
Once I get it "flashed", I can then try minicom, and still
have a working unit.
