Yeah, I prefer the one window way of doing things, although I think I
would find multiple desktops rather handy. I've been looking into
windowmanagers that would be good for this. Sawmill would be easy to do,
but I don't know if we really want a lisp interpreted windowmanager
running on every handheld. Needs more investigating, though.

You should be able to; we have without any problems, aside from the fact
that most GNOME applications do not scale well to 320x240.
