Subject: [iPAQ] Adding startup apps
Hi everybody,
I am trying to add some apps to my startup.
I know I have to add a script under /etc/init.d. Also symbolic links are
to be added under rc(n).d directories. But I don't know what exactly is
the process to do this.
I read the policy manual in debian. They tell to use 'update-rc.d' and
modify 2 scripts namely 'postinst' and 'postrm'. This is bit confusing
as I am not able to find these files.
Should we follow this policy or do you just add symbolic links manually?
If we have to do it manually, how do we know which rc(n).d directory to
add in.
Please explain. Any advice is appreciated. A small example would be
great.
Thanks,
Sri.
