[iPAQ] Screen Flickered and now Dead

Hi to all:

HELP !!!

Had an IPAQ 3630. Was very happy until the screen started to flicker 2 days
ago when I connect it to the cradle.

The screen flickered for a while but then went back to normal. As the day
went, it flcikered even when I use it without the cradle connected. Over the
day, I noticed that the backlit seemed much dimmer than before, setting to
the brightest did not change screen brightness. Both Hard & Soft reset did
not help. The unit would stop flickeing after a while.

 I could still run applications while the screen flickers.

2 hrs ago, i could not turn the IPAQ on. WHen I did a hardware reset - it
freezed on the initial screen. A software reset that followed cause the
screen to reset but shut down when the "1.28" & "P1.04" appeared. After a
few trys with the software reset, the screen now freezes for the past hour
on the same screen and does not shutdown.

Would appreciate any advise that could help before I send it to the local
support centre.

 I use a serial/USB convertor since Imy laptop that sync does not have
serial interface.
