First, let me appologize for the cross list post!

I just think this information is too juicy to contain....

I was talking to the CTO (who is actually very techie for a CTO and a friend of
Linux) of a wireless solutions vendor...(Can't say who yet, but they've
done a lot of work in the wireless financial services area)...and there
MAY BE a chance that they will port a piece of their software over to linux,
with the specific target being the ipaq and/or yoppy. The specific piece they
would port would be their thin client. The thin client ties into their server
architecture to render/secure/etc wireless client/server apps and generally
provide more funcionality than WAP does..The software is basically a
specialized browser that renders XML pges to a UI and handles the
interactions...I can't really say much more (unfortunatly)...I don't want to
ruin the chance of this happening...B

The main reason I am posting this is to say..That yes, among some of the more
technically oriented executives (I think CTO qualifies as executive), this and
other embedded linux projects are starting to show up on their radar screen...
