Yeah, mine does that too. I heard it's a common problem.
Mine also has a bad spot on the screen. It looks like a fleck of something
stuck between the layers of the screen. You can't see it with the power
off, but it glows when the screen is lit. It's minor, but hell, this thing
is brand new.
I am giving Compaq a chance to build up some replacement stock and back it
goes!
Maybe I can talk them into sending me a serial cradle in place of the USB,
while their at it (I can't use USB at work).
