Dear Mr/.Mrs.
I hope that you can and will advise me with the problem I have with my HP iPaq h5550 Pocket PC.
After installing and uninstalling a few programs it occurred that the start menu was different e.q. not functioning as before.
It shows now maps and files which are not executable and therefor are taking space in the menu.
Almost all the programs in the 'programs map' are gone and so it's not possible to run most of the essential Windows programs including such as file explorer and backup anymore.
In the 'setting' options it's not posslble to disable items and the message "Unable to Move that Item" appears.
Of course I've tried to reset the PPC but that did not give any improvement.
So I have reason to believe that Windows is severe damaged and needs to be restored.
But the problem is that I don't have a restore option on the original CD which came with the PPC neither can I find any files thereon for the action.
So I decided to browse the internet in search for solutions and so I ended up with your address.
>From the HP/Compaq site I downloaded a file with a .txt file from which I quote the following lines:

My question to you might be obvious but is very important to me.
Does the file (19 MB) restore the ROM and the OS Windows (Current version CE 4.2) or just the BIOS ROM?
In the last case I'll have tot search further for an image of Windows because I think the ROM is OK.
But despite of endless search actions I couldn't retrive such a program.
I hope you will and can give me some advise or directions.
It will be very appreciated!
Thank you in advance and for your time reading this message.
