Dear Iain,
Your name was referred to me by Andrew Pearson at the National Sound
Archives as an experienced audio-visual technician. I am the
audio-visual librarian at the Royal College of Music and am presently in
need of an av technician that can service and maintain analogue as well
as current digital equipment. I have 18 listening stations loaded with
a variety of commercial and professional equipment - Kenwood, NAD and
Sony amplifiers ; Ariston, Dual, Pioneer, NAD turntables ; Technics,
Kenwood, Yamaha CD players ; Yamaha, Technics single & dual tape decks ;
Sony Compact disc Minidisc decks ; a Panasonic DAT player ; JVC & Sony
video tape players ; Marantz, Pioneer & Panasonic CD/DVC players ; a
Sony 13 inch monitor and several flat screen monitors (Sharp & Flatron).
Besides the library av equipment, there are many classroom around the
college with equipment configurations to service as well. If you are
interested, please send me a quick message and we can discuss the
situation in more depth. I must confess I do not have a lot of contacts
in this specialized field, so if you are already too busy to take on
another job, could you give me the names or pass this message on to
those that you feel are qualified.
Cordially,
Tony Hess
