[iPAQ] ipaq with linux

I'm a technician. The owner of the ipaq installed LINUX on it...and lost
the password.
Active Sync doesn't work (maybe because i have not the password?) so i
cant install any soft on the ipaq.
What can I do? Can I reset the ipaq in any way?
