This sounds like a battery learning issue, due to the way the battery
circuitry in the h5xxx is designed. Sometimes I wonder how HP could release a
product with as bad charging behaviour as the h5xxx devices seem to have.

I agree, however this is a little difficult to accomplish the way things are
at the moment. If you can find a cheap second hand CompactFlash sleeve (not
PCMCIA) then this is an option for faster reflashing.
