Paul, the guide doesn't say preparing the image is necessary, I have a 3660
and intend to use the wince avilable at handhelds.org. I remeber though
reading about this for a half year ago that if you took an image from
HP/compaq web aimed for upgrading you should use dd to strip out some bytes
but I can't see why that's necessary here, depending on how the images are
created.
